Made In The Czech Republic Since 1919
Narex Tools is a Czech-based company that specializes in the production of high-quality chisels and other woodworking tools.
The company was founded in 1919 and has a long history of producing tools for both professionals and hobbyists.
Narex Tools relies on traditional manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology to create tools that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The company uses hardened steel and beech wood to ensure the longevity and durability of its tools.
Fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome manganese steel blades hardened to 59 HRc. Bevels are ground at 25°. Lacquered European Beech handles.
Each starting at $17.98
Sets starting at $89.49
Chrome manganese steel blades heat treated to 55 HRc. European Beech handles with an octagonal cross section.
Sets starting at $89.99
Blades are bent at a 30° angle. Access hard to reach places that other chisels cannot touch. Perfect for flush trimming. Stained Hornbeam handles with solid brass ferrules.
Each starting at $24.69
Blade edges are ground with acute 35° angles to provide excellent clearance into the tight corners of dovetails. The primary bevels are ground at 25°. Blades have a hollow on the back similar to those found on premier Japanese chisels.
Sets starting at $115.79
Blades are precision ground at a 25° bevel. Stained Beech handles with 2 steel ferrules to withstand heavy blows from a mallet.
Sets starting at $66.49
Blades are accurately ground, have a slim cross section, and well-seated heavy steel tangs. Bevels are ground at 25°. Stained Hornbeam handles with solid brass ferrules.

Cryogenic Treatment
Narex Tools uses a cryogenic treatment process to enhance the hardness and durability of their chisels and turning tools.
The process involves exposing the tools to extremely low temperatures (-196°C) for a specified period of time.
The cryogenic treatment process causes the molecular structure of the tool’s steel to change, resulting in a more uniform and refined grain structure.
This refined grain structure enhances the tool’s hardness, toughness, and wear resistance. It also reduces the risk of cracking or other damage during use.
The cryogenic treatment process is typically used after the tools have been heat-treated and ground to their final shape. This allows the process to work on the final hardened structure of the tool, resulting in the most significant improvements in performance.
