Von Tobel is seeking a full-time lumber yard Delivery Driver for our Schererville, IN location.
We are a 100% employee-owned, growth-oriented company that has over 50 years of experience servicing the professional contractor, the remodeling contractor and do-it-yourself customers.
Responsibilities:

Safely operate a variety of delivery trucks to include: flat bed, box truck, moffett truck and/or boom trucks.

Deliver loads to customers, job sites and residential homes.

Load and unload trucks.

Assist customers.
-
Operate forklift.
-
Keep management and dispatch apprised of any delays or discrepancies

Keep lumber yard and vehicles clean, well-organized and safe.
Qualifications:

CDL or chauffeur’s license/for-hire endorsement.

Boom ABL crane certification a plus, but not required.
-
Safe driving record.
-
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Familiar with building materials including lumber species a plus.

Previous experience in a lumber yard a plus.

Ability to work independently and as a team.

Detail oriented.

Ability to work outdoors.

This position requires a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, motor vehicle driving record check, essential function screening and safety verifications as required by FMCSA/DOT.
