Von Tobel is seeking a full-time lumberyard Box Truck Delivery Driver for our Lafayette, IN location.
We are a 100% employee-owned, growth-oriented company that has 60 years of experience servicing the professional contractor, the remodeling contractor and do-it-yourself customers.
As a Delivery Driver, you will make deliveries of lumber and building materials to various local customers and jobsites.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operates box truck while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Loads and unloads lumber & building materials from trucks.
- Operate Forklift.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and reliability.
- Keeps lumber yard and vehicles clean, well-organized and safe.
- Assists in various warehouse yard operations.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with for-hire endorsement (formerly referred to as chauffeurs license).
- Prior experience in a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred.
- Safe driving record (MVR)
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- Familiar with building materials including lumber species a plus
- Previous experience in a lumber yard a plus
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work outdoors
- Must take and pass a drug test and pre-employment physical assessment
- Criminal background check required for this position
