Von Tobel is seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Salesperson to join our team at our Valparaiso location. This position will be focusing on growing our remodeling customer base in the Porter County market.

Full Time: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, no nights, no weekends

Responsibilities:
- Estimate materials and costs on a wide variety of building materials and millwork products
- Proactively develop and grow sales of Von Tobel across assigned territory
- Building relationships with existing Von Tobel professional remodeling builder accounts
- Developing relationships with new remodeling professional builders
- Coordinate deliveries with our sales coordinators to have products delivered in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications:
- Successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with strong communication and math skills along with having a commitment to excellent customer service
- 2-3 years of Building Materials Sales experience preferred
- Ability to cold call the sale
- Dedicated to learning new products and applications
- Ability to read blue prints preferred
- Good computer skills
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally to jobsites and sales meetings
If you are currently selling to contractors, we want to speak to you! Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of contractor sales experience and at least 1 year of lumber estimating experience. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills a must!
